How To: Find your personal style!

Hey guys!(: I'm coming at you with a How To: find your personal style! Maybe you're struggling to find what category you're in or maybe you're like me, and enjoy all of the different types of styles and doesn't really like to be in a category. Well look no further! I'm going to give you some tips and tricks on how to find the category you're in(:

1.) ok, you're in a store and you find yourself buying more so of the rock n roll type of vibe or maybe you like earth tones more, or! You just might go for a timeless style that's fresh! If you said yes to any of those three, you might just be either edgy, boho (like me!(: ), or classic

2.) go through your closet and pick out your top ten items that you cannot live without, whether it's a hat, shoes, a purse, a belt, etc. that should make it a whole lot easier. I picked out my top ten above and I mostly like the boho/hippie type of clothing. Although I love to look for clothes that not a lot of girls have or wear at school (or any where for that matter) none of them have these! (That I've seen so far)

3.) another trick is, looking at fashion books at your local bookstore. They help a lot on building your personal style or if you even like a certain style but don't know the essentials, they might tell you as well!

4.) The last trick you can use is, your favorite celeb! Maybe you go on google and you look up your fav celebs style guides (I'm guilty of that!) that just might tell you what you like/ are as well! The possibilities are endless! Just make sure it's what you truly like, no matter what anyone else says. My mantra is, if you like, wear it. Don't try to be someone you're not or impress someone else with clothes you don't even like!

I will be doing style guides so if you can't get out, I'm here for you! They will be on girly, edgy, boho, classic, glam, and indie (: basically, the essentials on how to achieve those looks and a lookbook to go along with it!(: so stay tuned! Have a great day!

Update, Update!

This is just a little quick update. You guys don't truly know me, only my style/fashion choices; Therefore, I will start posting little updates now and then so you guys can get to truly know me and what I like and/or what inspires me. I made a quick run to walmart and saw these Peace Out tea drinks, (I've never had them but I liked tea and I like the design so why not?) I also wore some jewelry (I'm totally all about the turquoise and hippie type of stuff) I also took a picture of my huge tree that's growing infront of my house, it's so beautiful and growing up (Awww)

Calm, Cool, and Collected

Today was super hot, I was trying to dodge the sun and take cover from it's rays. Don't get me wrong, the sun is beautiful and I love God's creation but it was humid today! I went downtown to Buffalo Exchange and got the cutest fring bag that was originally from Lucky Brand (one of my favorite brands, I will post a picture of it ASAP) and a cropped military inspired jacket! I also would love to do a post on this store because it's like a thrift store/ boutique store, you can sell, buy, or trade your clothes. The best part about it is, most of the time they do not have more of one thing, like target and H&M. So it's highly unlikely that you'll see someone down the street or at school wearing the same thing as you (pretty rad right?!) it has styles of all different types and celebrates the uniqueness of them all. So check your local listings and see if you have one close by!(:

How to Jazz up a Plain Outfit

If you are having trouble trying to pick out an outfit, don't worry! I got you covered, you can go with a plain black tube top (or whatever color you have/ like), high waisted shorts (or denim shorts is cute too!) but then you think, "hm, this is just too plain for my liking) here are some ways to jazz up a simple outfit
1. Sunglasses:

Most people don't think so but sunglasses are a staple for summer time and even for an outfit! Go with ones that really stand out! Such as my heart eyes ones!

2. Shoes
You have to wear them anyway, so why not wear those shoes that you have no idea what to wear them with and stand out! Go with some platform sandals or ones that not a lot of people have!(:

3. Jewelry
It's the best you can get at making an outfit stand out, if you have a bold statement necklace that flatters what your wearing, or a long pair of earrings that will make your neck appear to be longer and slimer than it actually is, you are set! Don't be afraid to wear more than one ring too!(;

Stroll in the Park

Hellooooo, everyone. I am back with another OOTD, now I know what you're thinking "when is she gonna finally switch it up a bit?!" That will be soon, I'm thinking sometime next week which is soon. Today I went out to run some errands yet again and it was a little bit chilly with drizzle, therefore I wore my Native American inspired sweater I got at Kohls (finally had a chance to wear it) and my favorite and comfortable combat boots I got at Macy's. I still kept my summer vibes with a tank top blouse and frayed denim shorts. Well, that's basically it (: I hope you enjoyed my post and OOTD, please stay tuned for more!

Bohemian Chic

Hey everyone!(: I'm back, I'm so sorry that I haven't had a chance to post throughout the year. I had just started my sophomore year in high school with one honors and one AP class and it was extremely stressful and demanding; However, I will try to post more often, even through my Junior year in high school. Today, I went downtown and ran a few errands in my easy, breezy maxi skirt I got at Hollister and my flowy blouse I also got at Hollister. Let me tell you, if you live in Southern California you NEED all the easy, breezy, flowy clothes you can get because most of the time it is sunny. Do not get me wrong, I love the sun, but sometimes you want to be able to wear that leather jacket or Native American inspired sweater that has been collecting dust for a couple of months. I am excited to get back into the swing of things (meaning posting more often quite soon) and not only will I post OOTDs and Monthly Favorites, I will post my favorite stores, what's in my bag, trends according to the season, looks for less, and more. So, stay tuned for that!(: bye guys!
