Grunge Inspired Outfit and Tips

This outfit is Grunge inspired. It might not be the 90s type of Grunge but the type of Grunge that is trending on fashion blogs so, i put my twist to it. I am going to help you achieve the Grunge look with some easy steps and tips. First step, NEVER COPY SOMEONE, it looks to obvious and bland, mix it up with you taste in clothes and accessories. Step two, Denim jackets ae a must. Most wear them baggy, but you can wear the type of Denim jacket you want, also add some pins, buttons, or patches to make it look like a one-of-a-kind. Step three, Dark jeans, distressed, high waisted, and even shorts that are high waisted with sheer tights undeneath are a must to have. Dont forget you can make them distressed, add patches and sew fabric for patch wok onto the pants. The shoes, sneakers, creepers, or combat boots are a must in the wardrobe of a Grunge peson. The one destroyed they look, the better. Motocycle jackets and tough looking accessories make the cut as well. Don't forget your favorite rock band t-shirt! You're good to go!!(: see ya next time!!     Pants- Urban Outfitters    Shirt- TJMaxx    Denim Jacket- H&M   Shoes- Converse

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Today's OOTD is inspired by the 90's Grunge era that Kurt Cobain (lead singer of the infamous Rock band 'Nirvana') made famous throughout the fashion world and world period. I got these amazing pants at Wasteland about a month ago and i when i first saw them i said "i have to have you." My mom at first, thought they wouldn't fit because they were the older version of Levi's but i tried them on, fell in love with them some more and took them home with me. I do recommend the store 'Wasteland' when you want something that no one at school has. They have all sorts of clothing you would see on the internet and think "but, where do they get that stuff at?" Now when i see it i think, "They probably got it at Wasteland." To me as a lover of Fashion and individualism i adore these pants and anyone that has the guts to go out of the norm of what anyone wears (esepcially school because they can be a bit cruel and judgemental) and wear/do what they want too. I love those kinds of people and if you're reading this and might be struggling on wanting to be an individual but too scared of what people may think or say.. dont care. Most people judge or give you hate because they want to be like you, and have the guts that you have to wear whatthey want as well but they rather look like Plain Jane and wear dark jeans, caridgans, and white t-shirts everyday. Do not get me wrong however, i do like those things and think of them as essentials in a wardrobe and if thats what you want to wear more power to you. I am just saying its ok to step out of your comfort zone, try something new, and go against the flow at school because after all you were born an original not a copy.  Also when you wear something thats like this and stands out, its important for that one thing to stand out and keep the rest of your outfit as simple as possible and not over do it.
